To restart a Windows-based laptop, simply press the “Start” button, then the “Turn Off Computer” button, followed by “Reboot” or “Shut Down.” If you opt to shut it off, you can restart the computer immediately thereafter.

The microphone is usually towards the top of the screen, near the camera. it is also displayed on laptop keyboards on some models.

When the computer is not responding, press and hold the power button for 10 to 15 seconds, and the computer should power down. Any unsaved work that you have opened will be lost.

No matter what type of Dell laptop you have, the power button should be rather straightforward to find. Look for a round or rectangular button that is located below the screen and above the keyboard. The button might be located anywhere along that line, although it is generally on the right or in the center.

To drain residual power, press and hold the power button for 15 to 20 seconds. Connect the battery and the AC adapter or power cord (for Dell laptops). Identify the symptoms and follow the proper troubleshooting procedure if your Dell computer can power on but cannot boot into Windows.
