From November 28 to 30, the 2nd World Children's Film Conference was held at Tianjin Normal University. The film 'Run, Elk', jointly directed by Professor Jin Yihong of our university and Associate Professor Guo Jingfeng of the Beijing Film Academy, won the highest award, the first prize, in the college group.

The 2nd World Children's Film Conference was guided by the Higher Education Teaching Guidance Committee for Drama and Film & TV Majors under the Ministry of Education, and was organized by the Chinese Love-Children Film & TV Education Promotion Association, the Asian and Chinese Film Research Center of Beijing Normal University, the College of Music and Film & TV of Tianjin Normal University, and Shenyang Urban College. This annual conference received attention and response from the film industry and universities at home and abroad. More than 170 experts, scholars, well-known directors, screenwriters, etc., from over 30 universities including China Film Association, China Children and Teenagers Film Association, Beijing Film Academy, Peking University, Beijing Normal University, Communication University of China, Northeast Normal University, Southwest University, Tianjin Normal University, Fujian Normal University, Wuhan Textile University, and from the film industry, attended the conference on-site.

The award-winning film works at this year's annual meeting showcase the diversity and depth of children's films in narrative and emotional expression. The jury conducts a comprehensive evaluation based on multiple dimensions such as creativity, artistry, educational value, and social influence of the works, in order to commend creators and works that have made outstanding contributions in the field of children's films.

The movie 'Run, Elk' was released in national cinemas in September 2024 and has received widespread acclaim from audiences. The film is a key project supported by the Film Quality Creation of the Publicity Department of the Hubei Provincial Committee, and a boutique project supported by the Wuhan Federation of Literary and Art Circles. It is jointly produced by Hubei Radio and Television Station, Hubei Cultural Tourism Group, Yangtze River Film Group, Shishou City Investment, Yangtze Cloud, Jingzhou Media Group and other units.
